The first day of the academic year was celebrated as “School Admission Day” with great enthusiasm at Primary School No. 51 in Pimple Saudagar. On this occasion, the PCMCs Leader of Opposition, Mr. Nana Kate, warmly welcomed the students by presenting them with flowers and essential school supplies.
A special program titled “Mulanche Pahile Paool” (Children’s First Step) was organised to mark the day. The event commenced with the traditional garlanding of the portrait of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mr. Nana Kate.
As part of the celebration, students were gifted school kits containing textbooks, educational materials, and uniforms – a delightful surprise on their first day back at school.
Present on the occasion were PCMC’s Chief Information & Technology Officer, Mr. Neelkanth Poman, Headmistress, Mrs. Surekha Gengje, Supervisor, Mrs. Khandagale, members of the Akanksha Foundation, entrepreneur Mr. Somnath Khedekar, the teaching staff, School Management Committee members, parents, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
The event created a memorable and motivating start to the school year for the children
